Bodhicitta is precious; may it arise in those who have not cultivated it. In those who have
cultivated it, may it not diminish; may it ever grow and flourish.
(Seven-sentence PRAYER to PADMASAMBHAVA)
On the northwest border of the country of Uddiyana,
on the pollen-bed of a lotus trunk, endowed with the most marvelous and perfect Siddhis,
you are renowned as the Lotus-Born. Surrounded by a circle of many Dakinis,
following after you perfecting myself, I pray that you come and bless me.
Buddha of the three times, Guru Rimpoche,
endowed with all the Siddhis, the feet of Great Bliss, may all obstacles be removed and Mara be subdued.
We pray for your blessings. May all outer, inner and secret obstacles be allayed;
may all our aims succeed through your blessings. By this virtue may I quickly accomplish the state of ORGYEN PEMA;
may I establish all beings without a single exception to that place.
(Short DEWACHEN PRAYER)
Wonderful Buddha of Limitless Light, and to his right
the Lord of Great Compassion, and to his left, the Bodhisattva of Great Power, surrounded by Buddhas and
Bodhisattvas measureless in number. Joy and happiness without limit in this land called Dewachen. May I
be born there as soon as I pass from this life, without taking birth anywhere else in the meantime.
Having been born there, may I see Amitabha's face. May the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of the ten
directions give their blessing that this wish expressed in this prayer be accomplished without hindrance.
DALAI LAMA LONG LIFE PRAYER:
In this paradise surrounded by the snowy mountains,
you who cause benefit and happiness to arise, Mighty Chenrezig, Tendzin Gyamtso, may you remain steadfast
until the end of samsara.
KARMAPA LONG LIFE PRAYER:
To the great Treasure, Karmapa, victor of the
three times, who continuously enjoys the wheel of the feast of Great Bliss, I pray that with your lineage
of Gurus and disciples you will remain steadfast for kalpas and kalpas. By them, hearing, reflecting
upon, and accomplishing the essence of the profound secret teaching, may all the collections of practice and learning
rise up like the summer rivers.
V. KALU RINPOCHE LONG LIFE PRAYER:
May there be the highest bliss! Activity
of all the victorious ones, the Mighty Karmapa, spreading. protecting and holding the profound and secret doctrine. by
the strength of Rangjung Dorje's (the self-born Vajra) good aspirations
we pray that the completely accomplished all-pervading Lama live long.
