Our Lady of Guadalupe, (as she is known in English)
brings
great comfort to the Mexican people because we know
that
God has not forgotten us. He brought us roses
in the dead
of winter. Don Diego's faith contributed
to making the
miracle happen, for when he returned to the
Rectory
to confront the Padre, the roses our Lady had
given
him were somehow photographed onto his shirt.
But this happened centuries ago, before there
were cameras.
Mexican people turn to Our Lady of Guadalupe every
day. She helps mothers in every way and
protects
our children. She does not forget
anyone who
calls on her for mercy and intercession.
She is our friend, and always asks us to repeat
the Rosary daily, for world peace
When we are mindful of others,
She
is mindful of us.
Only when our heart is open
and
we are compassionate with one another
Can her message of peace reach us.
