I wrote this song a few years ago when my grand children
Justin and Lydia visited
me over night.
Well that night they were so pumped up they just
wouldn't go to bed. I tried to stay up
because I'm the elder
and kids are supposed to go to bed before their elders.
But they wore me out and I crashed
while
they were still jumping around.
Then the next morning I was rarein' to go....
and they couldn't
even open an eyelid. So I was watching
The View on ABC and Whoopi Goldberg was talking about
her great sucess
on Broadway with her "Sister Act!" show.
I love Whoopi like every one else. She makes me laugh,
out
loud! and thinking of her in that "habit"
hiding from the "mob"was so silly....this song just
fell out of the sky, so to speak...where else?
I had to change the lyric to make it about
a recent love (at the
time) gone awry because of
an irresponsible lover...and "Whoopdidu! was borne!
I put the song in my
album
"I Just Can't Help It!"
I'd been wanting to make a music video of it,
and recently
asked my friend Peter Rosen
(of Creativity Cafe
http://www.creativity.net/ )
to help me film it with some of his iPhone aps.
So we met in Kihei at Kalama Park.
Here's what
we accomplised
without even one rehearsal:
